The game starts with empty game board. Blue player makes the first move and then the game continues with the other player. Played pin stays in its place and a new pin should be placed on the board in each time. Players are free to place their pins to any space they want. It is better to start the game from right top space.
The purpose of the Obsidio is to surround the opponent’s pin(s) from horizontal and vertical directions (described as schema below) and it is important to keep the opponent under control while surrounding. Each surrounded pin quits the game and taken out from the game board. So it cannot be used on the game board again. The main purpose of the game is to have more area than the opponent.
In the end of the game, the areas captured by both players (total number of empty are as in the figure) are sum up and the color having the most area wins the game.
