Speech-Language Pathology is a vast area. For an SLP in generic practice, it is often difficult to keep up with constantly developing intervention techniques in the various fields of communication and swallowing disorders. How do you work with children who have voice disorders? Is working on voice a priority for elderly clients? Should clients who are active in the world of performing arts be treated with different therapy techniques? How do you treat puberphonia? As an SLP do I need to do vocal exercises myself? This workshop aims to address these questions as well as present different voice therapy techniques, explain how to choose the best technique for your clients and provide time for practice.

Norma Camilleri, SLP

Norma has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist for more than 20 years. She always had special interest in the field of voice. She holds an MSc in Speech & Swallowing Research (Voice) awarded by the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. She is also a vocal coach, singer and clinical educator. She has been active in the Association of Speech-Language Pathologists for many years, first as secretary, then vice-president and from 2014 as president.
