Associate Professor Anne EMERSON Gave A Seminar on Language Development Support in ASD
​We organized a seminar on LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT IN INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM with the presentation of Professor Dr. Anne EMERSON, who is a professor at the University of Nottingham in England.
With the cooperation with DILGEM and the Turkish Association of Language and Speech Therapists, we organized a seminar about "LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT IN INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM" at the Spastic Children’s Foundation Seminar Hall of Turkey on 25-26-27 November 2017 with the presentation of Prof. Dr. Anne EMERSON, Faculty Member of the University of Nottingham in England. As this was the first time Professor Dr. Anne EMERSON has ever come to Turkey in her life, we were glad to show her our beautiful city of Istanbul.
  • To Professor Dr. Anne EMERSON from the University of Nottingham in England, who came to Turkey from the UK and gave us a wonderful lecture on methods that can be used other than Applied Behavior Analysis when working with individuals with ASD to add to the professional accumulation of educators working in the field of autism in Turkey,
  • To the Turkish Language and Speech Therapists Association, management and members with whom we worked on this seminar together;
  • To Prof. Dr. Ilknur MAVİŞ, ​a professor in the Department of Language and Speech Therapy at Anadolu University Faculty of Health Sciences, who is a scientist who has contributed significantly to the realization of this lecture and who has come to the forefront with his philanthropic personality;
  • To Prof. Dr. Seyhun TOPBAS, President of the Turkish Association of Language and Speech Therapists and Head of the Department of Language and Speech Therapy at Medipol University;
  • To Prof. Dr. Umran TÜFEKÇİOĞLU, head of the Department of Language and Speech Therapy at Biruni University, who honored us with his attandance;
  • To The Expert Language and Speech Therapist Barış DINÇER, who provided us with simultaneous translations during the seminar;
  • For the realization of this event, Mr. Canan DURGUNGÖZ, a PhD Student at the University of Nottingham in England, who brought us together with Dr. Anne EMERSON
